The Career & Technical Scholarship (CTS)

Over 700 scholarships worth $1500 each quarter are awarded through the Career & Technical Scholarship (CTS). This is IN ADDITION to Promise funds that Promise Scholars receive. 

Eligible students are:

NO GPA minimum and NO references required. The application features a SHORT-answer section that is NOT scored for English or writing ability.

Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP)

Looking to gain hands-on experience and earn income during the summer? SYEP provides valuable employment opportunities for youth, allowing you to explore different career paths, develop essential skills, and build your resume. Take advantage of this chance to make your summer both productive and rewarding while earning an income. Several internships are specifically designed for Promise Scholars.

Summer Internships with the Woodland Park Zoo

Interested in interning at the Woodland Park Zoo this summer? Learn about marketing, community collaboration, animal management and so much more during your 10-week internship at Woodland Park Zoo.

Founded in 1899, Woodland Park Zoo focuses on saving wildlife and inspires guests to develop a lifelong love of animals and to make conservation a priority.

UW Summer Introduction Seminars

Are you interested in attending a free UW seminar this summer? Path to UW is offering Introductory Seminars that can help you earn credit that can be applied toward your associate and UW degrees. Additionally, you will receive access to transfer planning resources and much more! These 4-week UW classes are scheduled for late August to early September and are specifically tailored to support Seattle Promise students who are curious about transferring to UW-Seattle in the future but have not yet applied to the university. As a bonus, all students who participate in the seminar will receive a $1,000 stipend along with the great resources offered by the program!
