Seattle Youth Employment Program (SYEP)

Looking to gain real-world experience while earning money this summer? The Seattle Youth Employment Program (SYEP) offers paid internships that connect you to local businesses, nonprofits, and City departments. Over 6–8 weeks, you’ll build professional skills, explore career interests, and receive hands-on training and support to help you grow.

Participants earn $21.30/hour and are matched with opportunities based on their interests and availability. SYEP is open to students ages 16–24 who live in Seattle or attend a Seattle college and meet income eligibility guidelines.

UW Summer Introduction Seminars

Are you interested in attending a free UW seminar this summer? Path to UW is offering Introductory Seminars that can help you earn credit that can be applied toward your associate and UW degrees. Additionally, you will receive access to transfer planning resources and much more! These 4-week UW classes are scheduled for late August to early September and are specifically tailored to support Seattle Promise students who are curious about transferring to UW-Seattle in the future but have not yet applied to the university. As a bonus, all students who participate in the seminar will receive a $1,000 stipend along with the great resources offered by the program.
