Proposed Rule WAC 132F-126
- addresses a need for the colleges to issue medical withdrawals to students who exhibit self-harm and cannot otherwise be accommodated through the interactive process while attending college.
Proposed Rule WAC 132F-121-060 to -090:
- increases integration and alignment as more students attend multiple campuses during their time as a student;
- makes the process more student focused by encouraging all parties to engage in sincere efforts to listen
- resolves complaints informally;
- ensures students are supported through the complaint process;
- enhances an accepting culture and provide supports to encourage students to raise concerns.

An overview of the proposed revisions will be provided by the Hearing Officer prior to taking comments. Written comments will be accepted until 5:00 pm on March 29, 2021. Following the hearing, the Hearing Officer will prepare a memorandum summarizing the testimony. The Chancellor’s Executive Cabinet will review the comments and written submissions. Pending action by the Board of Trustees, the new rule will become effective on April 8, 2021.

Proposed Rule WAC 132F-126 addresses a need for the colleges to issue medical withdrawals to students who exhibit self-harm and cannot otherwise be accommodated through the interactive process while attending college.
Proposed Sections WAC 132F-121-070 to 350 addresses the new Title IX regulations issued by the Department of Education. New sections set forth rules for Title IX allegations, discipline process, and hearing procedures.
