Maintain Your Eligibility

You've worked hard to become a Seattle Promise scholar. To remain eligible, scholars are required to attend the following events and check-ins as well as maintain good class attendance and academic standing. Scholars must also register full-time each quarter and complete the appropriate financial aid applications for their second year.

Below you can find your graduation date and corresponding Seattle Promise deadlines.

Feb. 16, 2024Submit Seattle Promise application AND submit application to a Seattle College  (North, Central, or South).
By July 15, 2024Submit 2024-25 FAFSA or WASFA application.
By May 1, 2024Confirm the college you are attending (North, Central, or South) and complete placement for classes (recommended).
May-June, 2024Attend Readiness Academy* *Students must have completed English and math placement to participate. Running Start students must have a completed Ed Plan to participate.
June 2024Graduate from a Seattle Public High School.
By Aug. 16, 2024Submit any supporting documents requested by the financial aid office (work with the Outreach Specialist in your high school to verify completion).
Sept. 5, 12, or 16, 2024Attend Summer Bridge 1-day orientation
Sept. 23, 2024First day of Fall Quarter classes
Sept. 12, 13 or 18, 2023Attend Summer Bridge 1-day orientation.
Sept. 26, 2023First day of Fall Quarter classes. Check your email and log into Canvas.
Nov. 6, 2023Register for Winter Quarter
Dec. 15, 2023Last day to complete your required Fall Quarter check-in.
Jan. 2, 2024First day of Winter Quarter. Check your email and log into Canvas. Deadline to enroll full-time (12 credits) or submit part-time and deferment requests to Seattle Promise. Deadline to have an approved SAP appeal for Winter Quarter (if applicable).
March 15, 2024Last day to complete your required Winter Quarter check-in.
April 1, 2024First day of Spring Quarter. Check your email and log into Canvas.
Deadline to enroll full-time (12 credits) or submit part-time or deferment requests to Seattle Promise. Deadline to have an approved SAP appeal for Spring Quarter (if applicable).
July 15, 2024Deadline to submit 2024-25 FAFSA or WASFA.
Aug. 16, 2024Submit any supporting documents requested by the financial aid office (work with your Financial Aid Specialist and check your ctcLink Checklist to verify completion).
Sept. 23, 2024First day of Fall Quarter classes.
