Register for Commencement

Commencement is a ceremony held each June. We gather together as Seattle Colleges (North, Central, and South) to honor graduates’ accomplishments and celebrate with family, friends, faculty and staff, and the community.

Prepare to Take Your Walk Across the Stage

Before you can participate in the commencement ceremony, hear your name read, and walk across the stage in your cap and gown, there are a few things to do:

1. Apply for Graduation

Graduation is the official process of earning a degree or certificate. When you apply to graduate, advisors and staff in the Registrar’s Office at your college check that all program requirements have been satisfied.

Students must have applied for graduation no later than Monday, May 12, 2025 to ensure their name appears in the printed commencement program. Refer to your college’s graduation website for information about applying for graduation, deadlines, and related information. Contact your college's Registration Office if you have missed the deadline to apply for graduation.

2. Register for Commencement

Eligible graduates should have received an email invitation to register for commencement in mid-May. If you missed the instructions to register for commencement, you can still participate in the ceremony by completing the register for commencement form.
