Register for Commencement

Commencement is a ceremony held each June. We gather together as Seattle Colleges (North, Central, and South) to honor graduates’ accomplishments and celebrate with family, friends, faculty and staff, and the community.

Prepare to Take Your Walk Across the Stage

Before you can participate in the commencement ceremony, hear your name read, and walk across the stage in your cap and gown, there are a few things to do:

1. Apply for Graduation
Graduation is the official process of earning a degree or certificate. When you apply to graduate, advisors and staff in the Registrar’s Office at your college check that all program requirements have been satisfied.

Students must have applied for graduation no later than Monday, May 13, 2024 to ensure their name appears in the printed commencement program. Refer to your college’s graduation website for information about applying for graduation, deadlines, and related information. Contact your college's Registration Office if you have missed the deadline to apply for graduation.

2. Register for Commencement
Eligible graduates receive an email invitation to register for commencement. Check your email and mobile number on file in ctcLink. When you receive the email, you will be asked to create an account and password and then log in and complete the registration process.

The registration process allows you to

  • Confirm that you plan to attend commencement
  • Record your name to ensure it is pronounced correctly
  • Leave a quote about your experience at Seattle Colleges
  • Invite friends, family, and faculty and staff to join you for the ceremony
  • Activate your GradPass, required to cross the stage on June 21

When you have completed registering for commencement, check your email (check all inboxes including spam) for your registration confirmation. You may return to your account anytime by going to https://seattlecolleges.marchingorder.com and logging in with your email address and password.

Be sure to check your email regularly for more instructions and updates about preparing for commencement.

The online registration deadline for commencement has not yet been finalized. When the information is available, it will be posted here.

3. Order Your Cap and Gown
A cap and gown are required for all graduates participating in the commencement ceremony. Order or borrow a cap and gown to participate.

4. Invite Family, Friends, Instructors, and Supporters
Bring your own cheering section and share your special day with your loved ones. Guest seating is open at T-Mobile Park, tickets are not required. During the commencement registration process you can forward an event email invite to those that have supported you along your way.

5. Pick Up Your GradPass
A GradPass is required for crossing the stage at commencement. After you complete the online registration process, a confirmation page will appear in your browser with a red button to "Get Your GradPass." You may download and save your electronic GradPass as a back up. A printed version of your GradPass will be available when you check in at T-Mobile Park on June 21.
