eLearning provides a variety of pedagogical and technical support for faculty - no matter the modality in which you teach. If you are looking for help, please submit a support ticket via email and it will be routed to the right person. You can also make an appointment directly with one of our Instructional Designers, Instructional Technologists, or Canvas Admins.

Instructional Design Support

Our Instructional Designers can provide the following support to faculty:

  • Accessibility and Universal Design (UDL)
  • Aligning learning activities to learning objectives
  • Aligning technology and pedagogy
  • Anti-racist practices
  • Assessment of learning, incl. assignment and project design
  • Community-building with students
  • Course design, incl. structure, navigation, scaffolding, orientation/zero module, and more
  • Faculty development workshops and self-paced courses (LEAD)
  • Low/No-cost textbooks and Open Educational Resources (OER)
  • Syllabus design
  • TiLT
  • Trauma-informed teaching

Technology Support

Our Instructional Technologists can provide the following support to faculty:

  • Troubleshooting technical problems
  • Training for and use of video conferencing tools (Zoom)
  • Research and implementation of technology tools
  • 1:1 support for video production
    • Storyboarding and planning
    • Recording (use of studio and equipment)
    • Editing
    • Captioning
    • Sharing and delivery

LMS (Canvas) Support

Our LMS Administrators can provide the following support to faculty:

  • Find or merge Canvas courses
  • Troubleshoot Canvas login and accounts
  • Add or remove TAs, observers, and other types of users
  • Create sandbox or development shells
  • LTI integration and troubleshooting
