Accessible Meetings and Events

Accessibility means recognizing that participants may experience barriers related to vision, hearing, mobility, speech, or information processing. Planning meetings and events with these needs in mind from the beginning helps ensure that everyone can participate fully.

Accessible meetings not only benefit people with disabilities, they also support participants with different learning styles, language backgrounds, and communication preferences. When accessibility is built in from the start, events become clearer, more inclusive, and more effective for all.

Following are two webpages that provide information and guidance for your use when planning meetings and events across Seattle Colleges. If you have any questions or need additional guidance for troubleshooting or planning accessibility feel free to email the District Accessibility Team at dist.accessibility@seattlecolleges.edu.
