Seattle Colleges students can use many different types of funding to help pay for college. Grants, work-study, loans, and scholarships help make college or career school affordable.

Grants

A grant is a form of financial aid that doesn’t have to be repaid, as long as you meet eligibility requirements. Grants can come from the federal government, Washington state government, or the Seattle Colleges, and are awarded as part of your financial aid package. submitting a FAFSA or WASFA ensures that you are considered for grants.

Loans

A loan is money you borrow and must pay back with interest. If you submit a FAFSA, you may see loans included in your Offer Letter. It is important to understand your repayment options so you can successfully repay your loan.
