Student Portals

About

The student portals (MyCentral, MyNorth, MySouth) were launched in the Spring 2015 combining the existing class schedule into a responsible / mobile friendly site while also integrating the Student Online Services (SOS) stand-alone applications created by the State Board (SBCTC) CIS department under a single sign-on. The web team continues to be enhance the portal as needs arise.

The portal consists of three main sections:

Class Schedule

(No login required ) List of classes being offered for the quarter selected including details; such current class status while registration period is open. Class schedule can be filtered by factors such as class type, credits, time of day, instructor or one of AA Transfer Requirement groupings.

My Classes

(Login required) My Classes consists of five sections:

  • My Favorite Classes: Planner where student can save classes interested in prior to registration period opening for said quarter – automatically cleared after the tenth (10) day of the quarter
  • My Registered Classes: List of classes ( with class details ) student is officially registered in for the quarter and the ability to drop course(s)
  • My Waitlist Classes: List of classes ( with class details ) student is on the waitlist for and the ability to remove themselves from waitlist
  • My Ed Plan: Outline of course work required to complete education goal or program of study. Ability to exchange comments with advisors
  • My Advisor Notes: view summary / notes after a meeting with an advisor

My[College]

(Login required) My[College] is listing of other items that are part of the SOS stand-alone applications created by SBCTC and also links to other sites utilized by students.

  • SBCTC applications include:
    • view registration appointment (for quarter selected)
    • pay tuition (for quarter selected or all monies due)
    • view grades / unofficial transcript
    • view schedule (for quarter selected)
    • placement scores
    • progress indicators
  • Course Evaluations: when evaluations for the selected quarter are available, allows student to view list of classes with evaluations still to be completed
  • Financial Aid Status: link to Financial Aid Portal (third-party site w/ separate login)
  • Degree Audit: link to Degree Audit (third-party site w/ separate login)
  • Parking Pass: link to the site where students can purchase parking pass online [ resources.seattlecolleges.edu/parkingpermits ]
  • StarFish: link to StarFish site (third-party site w/ separate login)
  • Manage Deferred Payment Account: link to NelNet site

Instructions

Go to one of the college portals:

View classes or log in using student SID and PIN to access other portions of the portal.

NOTE: when logging in, if it has been more than 90 days since profile has been reviewed, you will be prompted to verify profile information is up to date.
