501.10 The Seattle College District instructional calendar shall be developed by utilizing the following format:

  • 501.10.1 Fall Quarter

    The first day of instruction will be the fourth Monday in September, and the last day of instruction will be the Friday of the twelfth week hence.

  • 501.10.2 Winter Quarter

    The first day of instruction will be the first Monday after the New Year, and the last day of instruction will be Friday of the eleventh week hence.

  • 501.10.3 Spring Quarter

    The first day of instruction will be the second Monday after the end of Winter Quarter, and the last day of instruction will be Friday of the eleventh week hence.

  • 501.10.4 Summer Quarter

    The first day of instruction will be the second Monday after the end of Spring Quarter, and the last day of instruction will be Friday of the eighth week hence.

501.20 The following holidays will be observed by the Seattle College District and incorporated into the instructional calendar:

  • Thanksgiving 2 days
  • Christmas 2 days
  • New Year's 1 day
  • Martin Luther King 1 day
  • President's Day 1 day
  • Memorial Day 1 day
  • Independence Day 1 day
  • Labor Day 1 day

501.30 It shall be the responsibility of the Office of Institutional Advancement to annually prepare an instructional calendar utilizing the approved format and to distribute calendar information to Seattle College District employees and students.
