Choosing Your Financial Aid Options

Welcome to the SeattleColleges Card and your financial aid refund options from HigherOne.

This short video will guide you through choosing how to receive your financial aid refund.

Once your account is activated you will be given (3) refund options:

The first option is Easy Refund: This option will deposit your refund directly into a HigherOne Account. HigherOne Account options are discussed in the next video.

One benefit of Easy Refund is that your refund will deposit the same day it is released by your college.

However, Fees may be charged if you use a non-HigherOne ATM or you choose the Debit option when purchasing from retailers.

Another option is ACH Transfer: If you already have a bank account you may wish to use it for deposit of your refund.

A benefit of this option is that you will avoid HigherOne Account charges and funds will be regulated by the rules of your bank.

Funds may be delayed by 2-3 business days after it is released by your college however.

The last option is a paper check. This is mailed to your current address.

This will allow you to deposit into your bank or cash as needed.

It will delay your refund 5-7 business days after it is released by your college.

Once your card is activated, you may change these options in between refunds.
