Mission, Vision, Values | Strategic Goals
The 2005-2010 strategic goals focus on:
Enrollment, Diversity and Student Success
Attract and retain more students in our academic, workforce, basic skills and continuing education programs.
Meet the needs of an increasingly diverse student population through enhanced academic programs and support services.
Bolster the success of our transfer students by strengthening instructional programs and support, and by working with four-year institutions.
Demand for an Educated Community
Align our workforce programs with high priority economic development areas to anticipate and respond to local industry workforce requirements.
Create more career pathways for entry-level students as well as experienced workers seeking skill upgrades and career advancement.
Recruit and retain high quality faculty and staff.
Support professional development for faculty and staff to remain current with workforce needs, academic disciplines and innovations in instruction.
Business, Community and Educational Partnerships
Cultivate community and business partnerships to respond to future workforce needs and contribute to the region’s economic prosperity.
Strengthen partnerships with K-12 and higher education institutions to promote barrier-free pathways for students.
Seek increased public and private funding to support our students.
