International

The Seattle Colleges welcome international students for study in academic and technical programs as well as intensive English programs:

  • Intensive English Program: general English courses at beginning, intermediate and advanced levels
  • College Bridge Program: develop academic skills to prepare for college-level studies
  • College Transfer Program: enroll in the two-year Associate of Arts (AA) or Associate of Science (AS) degree at one of the colleges. This degree transfers to hundreds of four-year colleges and universities in the USA. Students enjoy low tuition and small class sizes.
  • Professional / Technical Programs: choose from more than 135 degree and certificate programs which vary in length from one quarter to two years.
  • FAST TRACK High School Diploma Program: complete high school diploma and Associate’s degree at the same time
  • Summer Session: choose from a full range of college and ESL programs during the summer term

Services for International Students
Each college has an International Program office with services which include admission, college and cultural orientation, immigration and academic advising, social activities, trips, transcript evaluation for credit transfer, and housing referrals.

Admission Guidelines

  • Students should apply through the International Programs Office at the college of their choice, since admission procedures and registration deadlines and schedules vary from college to college. Contact the individual college for specific information.
  • Applicants must demonstrate adequate financial support to cover the period of study in order to meet visa requirements. International students pay the non-resident tuition rates.
  • Applicants must be at least 16 years of age and have completed 10th grade at the time of enrollment.
  • Application for admission by itself does not guarantee acceptance. Students must receive official notification of admission in order to enroll.
    • Note: International students should begin the application process well in advance of the quarter for which admission is desired in order to process the application, make passport and visa arrangements, and prepare for departure.
